The Canadian government has rolled out a new reporting system, the Importer (our valued customer) needs to be registered with the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) through the CBSA Assessment and Revenue Management (CARM) system. This does not pertain to American Recycling Center; this is solely the responsibility of the importer (our valued customer). With this new system they are having a cutover period, and the system is not available until October 21, 2024. Brokers fully understand how to work with the system, customers will need to be in contact with their customs broker. If the customer is not registered this could cause delays in the material crossing the boarder and could cause some additional and the shipment must be held.
